You’ll never run out of things to do when you visit Dublin. The city is always buzzing with activity and its colourful characters make it a really exciting place to live and visit. Here’s why we believe travelling to Dublin will be one of your best life decisions:

1.Parks

We have many lovely parks within the city limits, including one of Europe’s largest walled parks giving us there is plenty of green space to explore. One of the most impressive parks in Dublin is St. Stephens green with its manicured lawns, impressive water features and a great variety of colourful blooms to keep the park bright all year round.

2.Comedy

We’re definitely a funny bunch and nearly always in the comedy sense of the word! Dublin has many comedy clubs that feature up and coming and well-established acts trying to get a giggle. For free comedy 7-nights of the week, visit the International Bar, Dublin’s longest running stand up club.

3.Music

We’re well known for our musical talent here on the Emerald Isle with huge names like U2, Imelda May and Thin Lizzie frontman Phil Lynott all born here in Dublin. You can enjoy some of the city’s local talent for free when you stroll through the lively Temple Bar area and even visit the Rock & Roll hall of fame while you’re there.

4.Museums & Galleries

We are so lucky in Dublin in that almost all of our national museums and galleries are free to visit and open almost every single day, rain hail or shine. Learn about our ancient history in the National Museum of Ireland, our immigration history in EPIC or enjoy some of the fantastic scientific discoveries in the Science Gallery to name a few.

5.Coastline

Dublin is set along the relatively peaceful coast, looking out into the Irish Sea. We also have a stunning coastline that is easy to discover by foot, bike or by train. Take a trip out to Bray, Howth or Dun Laoighaire to see what Ireland’s east coast has to offer. There are some gorgeous seafood restaurants along the way too.

6.Walks

Although it’s a city, there is plenty of opportunities to get out and about in Dublin. If you run out of things to do in Dublin Take a hike up the Dublin mountains and explore the gorgeous Ticknock, hike to Tibradden Wood or walk toward the base of Mount Pelier and explore the infamous Hell Fire Club if you like ghost stories!

7.Craic agus Ceol

One of the things Ireland is most famous for is our craic agus ceol, which literally means fun and music. Any Irish pub will give you a healthy dose, from Temple Bar to your local pub. The Irish have a cheeky but friendly sense of humour so just make sure you can take a bit of gentle ribbing and you’ll get on just fine.

8.Guinness

Irelands most popular export, Guinness Stout is brewed right here in the capital. The Guinness Storehouse is Irelands most popular attractions and is equally interesting for tourist and locals alike. You’ll learn how Guinness is brewed, learn about the storehouse and its employees, go on a journey through the years of remarkable Guinness advertising and of course, sample a pint of the black stuff in their gravity bar while enjoying panoramic views across the city.
